DescriptionThe are two lights in the front doors which light up the ground.The door control units detect the status of the doors, notify the Body Computer and directly control the lighting up of the bulbs in the appropriate door.The function is activated both with the ignition switched OFF or ON.The lights come on for a maximum of 3 minutes when one of the front doors is opened; when this time has elapsed, the light can only be turned on again if the door is opened again. The lights go out immediately if both of the doors are closed.
Functional description Body Computer M1 receives door open input signals at pin 8 of connector D (driver side front door) and pin 25 of connector E (front passenger side door). Puddle lights G51 and G52 are controlled by driver side door contro unit M66 and passenger side door M67 , connected via a CAN line to Body Computer M1 . Control units M66 and M67 are supplied - at pin 11 of connector D - by a line protected by fuse F32 of underfacia control unit B2 ; in accordance with the strategy described above, each control unit supplies the relevant puddle light G51 and G52 , from pins 17 and 18 of connector B.
