Description - DIAGNOSTIC MULTIPLE CONNECTOR - Fiat STILO 1.2 16v da 07/03 a 12/03
The car is fitted with numerous electronic control units that perform a self-diagnostic function. When a diagnostic tester (Examiner or other device) is connected to these control units, self-diagnosis data can be read (parameters, errors) or the available active diagnostic tests can be carried out.All the diagnostic lines flow into the EOBD connector (European On Board Diagnosis) which conforms with Directive 98/69/CE (EURO 3) - ISO standard J1962 in the Body Computer connector G.Nodes connected to the network are diagnosed via the B-CAN network, while the dynamic car control network is diagnosed by a specific K lines.
Operational description - DIAGNOSTIC MULTIPLE CONNECTOR - Fiat STILO 1.2 16v da 07/03 a 12/03
The EOBD central tester output is built into Body Computer M1 connector C.It is supplied directly by the battery at pin 16 of the line protected by fuse F39 of underfacia control unit B2 ; pins 4 and 5 are earthed.Pin 1 is connected to the K line at ABS control unit M50 (pin 11)Pin 3 is connected, via the K line, to the Air Bag control unit M60 (pin 9 of connector A)Pin 7 is connected, via the K line, to the engine management control unit M10or.Pin 7 is also connected to, if present, the SELESPEED control unit M54 (pin 49 of connector A).The power steering control unit M86 is connected to pin 9 .The tyre pressure control unit M47 is connected to pin 13 .The adaptive Cruise Control control unit M87 is connected to pin 12 , and the gas discharge headlamps electronics F10 and F11.If fitted, the addtional heater N140 (coupling D22) is also connected.Pin 6 and 14 are connected to the B-CAN network: this network monitors and tests underfacia junction unit B2, instrument panel E50 , the control units for the driver''s side door M66 , passenger side door M67 , and boot compartment M63 , the Passive Entry control unit M64, the steering lock control unit M89, the radio or the built-in radio-phone-navigator unit P20 and the climate control system control unit M70 and the parking sensor control unit M84.
