Functional description The ignition-operated power supply (INT) of the instrument panel E50 reachespin 1 of connector A through the line of fuse F37 of the unit underthe dashboard B2 ; the direct supply reaches pin 2 of connectorA through the line of fuse F53 of the unit under the dashboard B2 ;pin 7 of connector A is earthed (earth controlled by the Body Computer M1 ). The instrument panel E50 is connectedfrom pins 3 and 4 of connector A to the Body Computer M1 and viathe latter to the whole CAN network: via CAN the signal for the electronicspeedometer arrives (coming from the ABS control unit M50): thissignal is replicated from pin 16 of M50 to pin 7 of connector Aof the Body Computer M1. The electronic rev counter receives therpm signal coming via CAN from the engine management control unit M10 . The fuel gauge is controlled in accordancewith the signals coming from the fuel gauge sender unit locatedin the fuel pump assembly N40 - at pins 4 and 15 of connectorD of the Body Computer M1, and from here via CAN to the instrumentpanel E50. The low brake fluid/handbrake applied warninglight comes on through a signal from the handbrake switch I40 ,which reaches pin 24 of connector E of the Body Computer M1 ,or from the signal from the low brake fluid level sensor K25 ,which reaches pin 18 of connector A of M1 . All these signals are transferred via CANto the instrument panel E50 . Instrument panel E50 also contains electronicmodules that control panel dimmed lighting and other controls SeeE2530 INSTRUMENT LIGHTING ,headlamp alignment adjustment and the robotized gearbox SeeE3080 HEADLAMP AGLINMENT CORRECTOR buzzer SeeE7051 ROBOTIZED GEARBOX . The TRIP function is shown in the relevantdiagram 2428031SeeE4080TRIP COMPUTER .
