The door mirrors can be electrically adjusted in two directions using a joystick located in the door controls on the driver''s side. Both mirrors are adjusted using the joystick which moves in four directions: firstly the mirror to be adjusted (left or right) is selected, then the mirror selected is adjusted.Moving the joystick backwards (by around 120°) folds the mirrors, moving it forwards, returns them to the open position. The joystick controls three electrical motors located in each of the two mirrors: one motor allows the rotation of the mirror on the horizontal axis, another on the vertical axis and the third controls the folding. The door mirrors are controlled by the door control units in accordance with the control logic transmitted by the body computer via the CAN.The mirrors can only be adjusted with the key in position M.The interior rear view mirror is the electrochrome type: i.e. it contains an electronic device which controls the automatic anti-glare function. The automatic mode is produced by pressing the button on the actual mirror; an LED signals that it is on.In order to ensure optimum visibility during manoeuvres, the interior mirror switches to automatic mode each time reverse gear is engaged. On versions with seats with a memory, in addition to moving the door mirrors manually, it is possible to memorize 4 positions:
The Body computer node M001 supplies the driver''s door control unit M066 and the passenger door control unit M067, both at pin 1 of connector A from pin 9 of connector F.The command is supplied from the Body computer node M001 (pins 36, 38 connector I for the driver''s side and pin 38, 40 connector L for the passenger side) to the door control units M066 and M067 (pins 19, 20 connector A) via the CAN.The control units M066 and M067 operate the electric motors for the door mirrors P060 and P061 directly. The command for the movement of the mirrors is given by unit H051 where the three specific switches are located: one for selecting the (left or right) door mirror, one for adjusting the mirror and one for folding the mirror. The door control unit M066 and the switch unit H051 interact to carry out a series of operations:- unit H051 is supplied at pin 2 of connector A from pin 16 of connector A at M066;- the selection of the mirror is communicated from pin 3 of connector A of unit H051 to pin 13 of the same connector of control unit M066;- the type of adjustment made is communicated from pin 1 of connector A of unit H051 to pin 14 of the same connector of control unit M066.To control the right mirror as well, the control unit M066 communicates via the CAN with control unit M067.Control units M066 and M067 control (pins 2, 1, 3 connector B) the electric movement motors for the rear view mirrors P060 and P061 (the same pins and connector) and (pins 2 and 3 connector C) the mirror folding electric motors (the same pins and connector). Lastly, mirrors P060 and P061 (pins 5, 4, 6, 1 connector C) communicate the feedback signals (same pins and connector) to the respective control units. Each time reverse gear is engaged, the interior rear view mirror P065 is placed in the automatic adjustment mode position. The reversing switch I020 (or the automatic transmission solenoid valve assembly L050) when engaged, sends an earth signal (pin 1 or A1) to the engine compartment junction unit B001 (pin 13 or pin 15 connector F). The latter communicates the event (pin 11 and 12 connector F) via the CAN line to the Body computer node M001 (pin 27 and 25 connector E respectively) which (pin 22 connector L) sends a power supply to the interior rear view mirror P065 (pin 3).The mirror P065 can also be activated manually by pressing the switch housed inside the actual mirror. In this case, the mirror will receive a power supply at pin 2 from pin 6 of connector F of the Body computer node M001.On versions with seats with a memory, the movement of the mirrors in any of the 4 positions memorized is produced using the information transmitted via the CAN by the seats/mirrors with memory control unit M076 (pin 3A and 3B connector A).
