DescriptionWhen the boot is opened the luggage compartment light is turned on which goes out when the boot is closed.If one or more of the doors is open, this is shown on the instrument panel display. in addition the warning light remains on if not all the doors or the boot are pefectly closed. In addition, if this signal is associated with a particular speed threshold being surpassed, an acoustic signal is activated.The power supply for the luggage compartment light follows the battery voltage control logic (SBMT). with the ignition OFF, if any of the doors or the boot is opened, or if the doors are unlocked, the timer is set at 15 minutes after which all the courtesy lights are deactivated.
Functional description The boot open switch I11 sends an earth signal, when the boot is open, to pin 36 of connector E of M1 and directly to the courtesy light G40.23 the contact in question signals the boot open condition; the switch is fitted with another contact which signals the boot not completely closed conditions, this contact is used for the boot locking function. 2399262SeeE3045BOOT AND FUEL FLAP OPENING On the basis of the SBMT logic described previously, the boot courtesy light G40 is supplied by the Body Computer M1 from pin 23 of connector E through the direct line protected by fuse F39 of the junction unit under the dashboard B2. The Body Computer M1 is connected to the instrument panel E50 via the CAN line; it sends a signal which, when necessary, lights up the doors or boot open warning light and, at the same time, this information is shown in the display.
