There are two lights for lighting up the ground ("puddle lights") in the front front doors.The two door control units detect the status of the doors, notify the Body Computer and directly control the switching on of the bulb in the door.The opening of one of the front doors causes the relevant light to come on for a maximum of 3 minutes; when this time has expired the light can only be switched back on again after the door has been reopened.The closing of the driver''s door causes the two lights to go out immediately.

The Body Computer M1 receives door open input signals at pin 8 of connector D (driver''s front door) and 25 of connector E (passenger side door).The puddle lights G51 and G52 are operated by the driver''s door control unit M66 and the passenger door control unit M67 connected by the CAN line to the Body Computer M1.The control units M66 and M67 receive a power supply - at pin 11 of connector D - from the line protected by fuse F32 of the junction unit under the dashboard B2; on the basis of the logic described previously, each control unit supplies the relevant puddle light G51 and G52, from pins 17 and 18 of connector B.
