DescriptionThe vehicle has two additional fog lights in the front bumper. The fog lights are activated through a button in the control panel to the left of the steering wheel; when the lights are on the warning light in the instrument panel comes on.A special relay, in the engine compartment control unit, controls the switching on of the fog lights via a line protected by a special fuse. The relay is managed by the Body Computer: the relay is energized in the following conditions:go ahead signal with key in ON position (INT);signal coming from the switchside lights on signal. In addition, if the side lights are switched off, the fog lights are also switched off even if the button is pressed. When the side lights are switched on again, the fog lights do not come on again automatically, but only if the button is still pressed. If the ignition key is switched OFF and then turned back to the ON position, the operating button must be pressed once again in order to turn the fog lights back on.
Functional description The fog lights activated (earth) signal reaches pin 20 of connector H of M1 from the control button in the panel to the left of the steering wheel H91. The side lights activated signal is sent to pin 28 of connector G of the Body Computer M1 from the steering column switch unit H52399168SeeE2010SIDE LIGHTS / NO. PLATE LIGHTS . The Body Computer M1 controls the supply for the fog lights by sending an earth signal to the engine compartment junction unit B1 from pin 8 of connector A of M1 which energizes the relay T14: this supplies the fog lights F15 (left) and F16 (right). The circuit is protected by fuse F30 of control unit B2. The Body Computer M1 is connected, via the CAN line, to the instrument panel E50 to manage the fog lights on warning light.
