DescriptionThe electric windows for the rear doors are activated through the switches on the relevant doors and on the driver's front door.The boot control unit controls rear window motor operation directly.Front driver door controls are sent via the CAN network from the control unit on the door.The electric windo motors are controlled in manual or automatic mode according to the specififcation.Automatic operation takes place as follows:if the button is pressed for between 60 and 300 milliseconds, the operation is manual: the window closes/opens only when the button is pressed;if the button is pressed for over 300 milliseconds, the operation is instead automatic: even if the relevant button is released, the window continues to close/open as far as the end of travel or until the anti-collision safety system intervenes, if applicable;a subsequent press on the button during movement of the window locks it in its current position;if the button is pressed for less than 60 milliseconds, it is ignored (it is considered to have been knocked accidentally).The boot control unit also controls the anti-crush safety function: it acquires information on the possible presence of an obstacle during the movement of the window during closing (raising: a resistive sensor is inserted in a casing fitted to the upper seal which is compressed if there is an obstacle preventing the window from closing properly: in these circumstances the control unit immediately interrupts the travel of the window and reverses it to the bottom end of travel position. The correct operation of the anti-crush safety sensor is controlled by the check function. for the control unit: if there is a fault, this information is sent via the CAN to the instrument panel to light up the general failure warning light and to show the information on the display.In addition, if a fault is detected, the control unit inhibits the automatic closing operation, only allowing steps of 500ms every time the button is pressed. The circuit is controlled in accordance with the control logic for the boot control unit, whose supply is protected by two dedicated fuses and operated by the services relay for the junction unit under the dashboard: in this way the supply is ensured both the ignition ON and with the ignition OFF: during starting, this relay is temporarily deactivated, whilst with the ignition OFF, the Body Computer keeps the relay activated for 3 minutes, but deactivates it 30 seconds after one of the doors is opened The control unit on the driver's door also manages the locking of the rear controls (protection), done by pressing the specific 'LOCK' button: the lock status is indicated by an LED on the rear of the button coming on and the absence of illumination of the rear control buttons. With lock activated, no button controls the electric rear windows.the windows are automatically opened or closed by a specific prolonged command (over 2 seconds) sent by the remote control button.The remote control receiver aerial is connected directly to the Body Computer which contains the electronics for the actual receiver.
Functional description The services relay T13, located in the unit under the dashboard B2 , supplies with the above-mentioned logic and controlled by the Body Computer M1 - pin 14 of connector F - the rear electric windows unit M82 - pins A8 of connector A and pin B8 of connector B, via two lines, protected by the fuses F33 and F34. The control unit is connected via the CAN line to the front driver's door control unit M66. Unit H44 contains the rear window controls and the LOCK key: appropriate analogue signals are sent to pin 27 of connector B and 1 and 3 of connector C of M66 (pin 33 of connector A provides a reference earth). When the LOCK key is pressed, control unit M66 turns on the relevant led, again in H44 (from pin 7 of connector C ). Control unit M66 communicates via the CAN line with control unit M63 , which controls motors N65 (left) and N66 (right). Similarly, the controls on the rear doors H53 and H54 send special analogue signals to the control unit M63 to operate motors N65 and N66. Pins A5 and B3 of conector A of M63 and pins A4 and A6 of connector B of M63 receive signals from anti-crush sensors K19 and K24. The control unit M63 is also connected, via the CAN line, to the Body Computer M1. and to the instrument panel E50 to manage the general failure warning light if faults are detected in the anti-crush safety sensors. The aerial-receivier P93 sends the Body Computer M1 the signal to open/close the doors and also windows and sunroof, by connecting to pins 21 and 31 of connector B 2399254SeeE3040CENTRAL LOCKING .
