Description - AIR CONDITIONING - Fiat STILO 1.9 JTD 16v da 07/03 a 12/03

The air conditioning system includes the heater and has the function of producing cold, dehumidified air by switching on the compressor and the refrigeration system.The climate control is operated by acting on the three knobs in the dashboard:the left knob mechanically controls the mixture flap between hot and cold air;the right knob, mechanically operated via a cable, controls the opening of the flaps which regulate the distribution of air flows;the centre knob electrically controls the ventilation of the air at four different speeds;The operation of the fan at different speeds is achieved through a resistive divider, protected by a special thermal fuse to prevent overheating.The air recirculation button and the button for switching on the air conditioning compressor are located in the lower part of the control panel..There is also a button in the control unit for switching on the heated rear windscreen.For more details,The fan is supplied by a line protected by a special fuse and controlled by a special relay in the engine compartment control unit.The control unit is supplied by a line controlled by the ignition and protected by a fuse in the underdashboard control unit.

Fan N85 is supplied when the ignition is switched on (INT/A) from the line protected by fuse F31 of the junction unit B2 under the facia and controlled by dedicated fuse F8 of engine bay control unit B1. Control knob H81 controls the fan at different speeds via regulator O30: the control signal - earth signal - varies according to knob position and crosses or does not cross the coils of regulator O30 to determine four different voltage signals for fan N85, which thus turns at 4 different speeds. 767The fan N85 operates at the first speed if the button for engaging the compressor is pressed, even if the control knob H81 is in position ''0''.The outside/recirculation air intake flap motor N82 is operated by a special button, located in the control panel H80: the operation of the button sends an earth signal and a supply controlled by the ignition (INT/A) protected by fuse B49 of underfacia control unit B2 which are reversed to reverse the direction of rotation of the motor.
