The boot opening geared motor is operated by:- the special button in the courtesy light;- the remote control (TEG).Operation through the remote control takes place in two ways.- indepedently of the doors: there is a special button on the remote control that allows the boot only to be "unlocked": the boot is released and lifts up slightly. The operation is signalled by the direction indicators flashing twice; when it is closed again the boot returns to the state prior to opening.- together and at the same time as the unlocking of the doors: the tailgate is considered as a fifth door to all intents and purposes: for the control logic.One of the two modes described above can be selected using a special setup in the instrument panel.The boot opening function via the button in the courtesy light is disabled (the boot does not open) if the speed of the vehicle is above 10 km/h.The fuel flap is managed directly by the driver''s door node and is therefore connected to the locked/unlocked status of the driver''s door.The boot opening circuit is protected by a specific fuse, located in the junction unit under the dashboard.

The "boot open" signal is sent by the switch - located in the courtesy light G10 - to pin 35 of connector E of the Body Computer M1.According to the control logic illustrated, the Body Computer M1 implements the boot release positive control function from pin 11 of connector F - via the line supplied by fuse F38 of the junction unit under the dashboard B2, pin 18 of connector D - controlling the operation of the boot lock geared motor N57.The boot unlocking function, inside the Body Computer M1 pin 1 of connector F also has a dedicated earth connection: pin 20 of connector F.The "boot not properly shut" signal is sent from the switch located in N57 to pin 24 of connector E.767the contact in question signals the "boot not properly shut" condition; the switch is fitted with another contact that signals the "boot open" condition, a contact used by the boot light functionThe fuel flap opening motor N58 is operated by the same control logic as the driver''s front door lock, from pins 1 and 2 of connector D of M66. (HIGH version) or from pins 4 and 6 of connector D of M66 LOW version);Control unit M66 is supplied at pin 11 of connector D - by a line protected by fuse F32 of the junction unit under the dashboard B2 .Pin 7 of connector D of M086 is earthed.
