Description - FOG LIGHTS - Alfa Romeo GT 3.2 V6

The vehicle has two additional fog lights in the light clusters.The fog lights are activated through a button in the centre panel; an LED in the back of the button also lights up when these lights are on.A special relay, in the relay junction unit, controls the switching on of the fog lights via a line protected by a special fuse for the engine compartment junction unit.The relay is managed by the Body Computer: the relay is energized in the following conditions:go ahead signal with key in ON position (INT);signal from the switch in the panel;side lights on signal.no main beam headlamps signalIn addition, if the side lights are switched off, the fog lights are also switched off even if the button is pressed. When the side lights are switched on again, the fog lights come on again.If the main beam headlamps are switched on, the fog lights are temporarily switched off.If the ignition key is switched OFF and then turned back to the ON position, the operating button must be pressed once again in order to turn the fog lights back on.

Functional description - FOG LIGHTS - Alfa Romeo GT 3.2 V6

The fog lights activated signal reaches pin 1 of connector D ofM1 from the control button in the centre panelH12.The side lights activated signal is sent to pin 28 of connector B of the Body Computer M1 from the steering column switch unit H5 . The ''ignition ON'' signal (INT) for the switch H1 reaches the underdashboard control unitB2at pin 11 of connector H and from there moves on to the Body ComputerM1(pin 9 of connector F).The Body ComputerM1 controls the supply for the fog lights by sending an earth signal to the engine compartment control unit B1B from pin 8 of connector A of M1 which energizes the relay T14: this supplies the fog lights F10 (left) and F11 (right).The circuit is protected by fuse F7 of junction unitB1A.A signal is sent, from pin 22 of connector C ofM1, to light up the LED in the control buttonH12(it is an earth signal which lights up the warning light controlled by the ignition (INT) from the line of fuse F49 of the control unitB2).
