The car is fitted with numerous electronic control units that perform a self-diagnostic function.When a diagnostic tester (Examiner or other device) is connected to these control units, self-diagnosis data can be read (parameters, errors) or the available active diagnostic tests can be carried out.Each control unit converts its self-diagnostic line into a single connector that can be connected to the diagnostic tester.The following control units are connected to the diagnostic connector:alarm control unit;Air Bag control unit;engine management control unit;Fiat Code control unit;additional heater control unit;ABS control unit;Connect;alarm remote control receiver control unit;automatic transmission control unit;LPG control unit;methane injection control unit.

The power supply to diagnostic joint R010 is supplied by control panel H090 - pin 4 connector B -.Power is supplied directly from the battery and protected by fuses F01 and F39 housed in engine bay junction unit B001 and the junction unit beneath the instrument facia B002.The junction pins are connected as follows:pins 4 and 5: connected to earth C015;pin 1: connected to ABS control unit M050, pin 48;pin 3: connected to air bag control unit M060, pin 6 connector A;pin 7: connection with the engine management control unit M010, pin 48 connector A (pin H2 connector A for 2.0 petrol versions) and with the automatic transmission control unit M055 (pin 88);pin 8: connected to Fiat Code control unit M020, pin 5 connector A;pin 9: connected to Connect M120, pin 2 connettore D;pin 11: connected to alarm control unit M030, pin 6, and alarm remote control receiver control unit M035, pin 2;pin 12: connected to additional heater control unit M075, pin C.pin 15: connection with LPG control unit M018 pin 15 connector A with the methane control unit M019 pin 15 connector A depending on the version of the vehicle.
