The front seats are available, on request, with a special heating system (comprising two heating elements located in the cushion and the backrest): this allows the seat to be heated to overcome the discomfort of cold passenger compartments in very harsh climates, e.g. when the car is left in the open for long periods in winter.The heating device located in each seat consists of two resistors activated by a switch located on the outside of the seat.There are four positions for the control for switching the heating system on/off:0 = off;1 = minimum heating;2 = medium heating;3 = maximum heating.A special LED in the actual switches indicates that the resistances are switched on.The resistances can be switched on with the engine running.This logic is managed by a specific control unit for each seat.The circuit for each seat is protected by a specific fuse, located in the additional fuse box

Operational Description - HEATED SEATS - Fiat ULYSSE 2.0 16v fino a 04/03

The command for the electrical heating of the front seats is activated by switches I065 and I066 housed in the actual seats.The body computer node M001 supplies the switches I065 and I065 and the seat heating control units M110 and M170 from pin 22 connector L (at pin 3 connector A).The switches I065 and I066 provide the control units (pin 2 connector A) from pin 1 with a voltage that varies according to the position of the selector. Having received the signal from connector B, the control unit M170 and/or M110 activates the resistance for heating the cushion of the respective seat O046 and O047. The resistance for heating the backrest of the respective seat O048 and/or O049 is activated by connector C.The power supplies for the control units M170 and M110 arrive from the lines protected by fuses F37 and F36 located in the additional fuse box B098.
