DescriptionThe car is equipped with two main beam headlamps.The main beam headlamps are switchedon:when the dipped beam headlamps are on, by pressing thelever towards the dashboard (stable mode)in "flash" mode, by pulling the lever towardsthe steering wheel (unstable mode)The circuit is protected by two fuses, onefor the right hand headlamp, one for the left hand headlamp.A warning light in the panel (rev countermodule) indicates that the main beam headlamps have been switchedon.The main beam headlamps circuit also providesthe signal for keeping the dipped headlamps on when the main beamheadlamps are on.
Functional description The main beam headlamps circuit is operated by the steering columnswitch unit H5 . When the switch is turned to the main beamposition, or when the "flashing" contact is closed, theline which supplies the (left) F10 and (right) F11 headlampsreceives a supply controlled by the ignition. Each circuit is protectedby a fuse for the junction unit B1 : F7 for the leftlamp and F6 for the right one. The suppy line for the left headlamp alsosends a signal to the rev counter module E15 (pin 4 of connectorB) to light up the "main beam headlamps on" warning light. The circuit for the main beam headlampsalso provides a signal (from pin 4, connector F of B1 ) forkeeping the dipped headlamps on when the main beam headlamps areon.
