Dodge Pickup R2500 2000 - FUSES & CIRCUIT BREAKERS
CAUTION: When replacing a blown fuse, it is important to use only a fuse having the correct amperage rating. The use of a fuse with a rating other than indicated may result in a dangerous electrical system overload. If a properly rated fuse continues to blow, it indicates a problem in the circuit that must be corrected.
The fuse block is located on the extreme left side of the instrument panel. See Fig. 1. For access, open the driver's door to its full open position. Remove the fuse access cover. You will find three spare fuses on the back of the cover, one each of 5, 10 and 20-amps. A fuse puller is provided to assist removal and replacement of fuses. It is located on the back of the cover.
This vehicle uses blade fuses. The amperage rating of each blade fuse is stamped on top of its fuse body. The fuse bodies are also colored according to amperage rating. There is a label attached to the access cover that describes the fuse position, the amperage and the feature powered by each fuse. The Heated Seat feature and the Combination Flashers feature is also resident in the fuse block.

Dodge Pickup R2500 2000 - DESCRIPTION & OPERATION POWER DISTRIBUTION CENTER (PDC)
WARNING: Always disconnect battery ground cable before servicing "high-current" fuses. It is recommended that "high-current" fuses be replaced by a qualified technician.
Your vehicle is equipped with an electrical power distribution center located in the engine compartment near the battery. See Fig. 2. This power center houses plug-in "Maxi" fuses which replace most in-line fusible links. The power center also contains "Mimi" fuses and plug-in "Mini" and "Macro" ISO relays. A label inside the latching cover of the center identifies each component for ease of replacement, if necessary. "Maxi" fuses and relays can be obtained from your dealer.
