DescriptionThe standard type current socket which can be used for connectinginstruments or equipment that operate on 12 V is located in thetunnel console. The ring nut on the current socket is litwith the side lights on 2427944SeeE2530INSTRUMENT LIGHTING . The cigar lighter resistance can also belocated in the socket, to operate it simply press the knob: aftera few seconds it pops out automatically, ready for use. The socket has a heat protection device:if devices with high energy absorption are connected, this protectioncuts off the supply.The current socket circuit is protectedby a special fuse and is operated by the relay which is excludedwhen the ignition is switched on and is located in the junctionunit.The current socket works with the ignitionswitched ON (INT/A) to prevent the battery from being run down.
Functional description The current socket/cigar lighter P50 is supplied by theline controlled by the ignition (INT/A) of relay T12 protected byfuse F44, both contained in the unit under the dashboard B2 .
