Description - ADDITIONAL HEATER - Fiat ULYSSE 2.2 16V JTD fino a 04/03
The vehicle climate control system is insufficient via the heater unit when the engine is cold, especially for diesel engines which take longer to warm up.On these versions there is also an additional heating system which is activated when the engine is first running, depending on the temperature of the engine coolant. The system consists of an additional heating device, located inside the heater unit: this device contains three resistances (PTC).The operation of the resistances is controlled by a specific control unit, connected to the engine management control unit, which operates either just one, or two or three, thereby providing gradual heating. This control logic depends on:
Operational Description - ADDITIONAL HEATER - Fiat ULYSSE 2.2 16V JTD fino a 04/03
On the de-luxe version that includes ABS/ESP, the additional heater electronic control unit M075 receives a supply, at pin 3, from the maxi fuse box B005, via the line protected by fuse MF3.On the basic version, on the other hand, the control unit M075 receives a power supply from the engine compartment junction unit B001, via the line protected by maxifuse MF3.On the basic version, on the other hand, the control unit M075 receives a power supply from the engine compartment junction unit B001, via the line protected by maxifuse MF3.The control unit is earthed at pin 4.Information on engine coolant temperature and engine speed is supplied by engine management control unit M010 from pin C1 connector A, to pin 2 of M075.The engine management control unit M010 receives this information from the engine coolant temperature sensor K036 and from the rpm sensor K046 connected to it at pins D1, E1 and J1, K1, respectively of connector B.On the basis of these data, additional heater control unit M075 activates/deactivates system operation according to commands set by the user. The control unit M075 has an autodiagnostic function. The control unit autodiagnostic data can be read by connecting to connector R010, pin 7: it receives signals from pin 1 of M075 via the special diagnostic line.
