The front seats may be equipped with a special heating system comprising two elements located in the cushion and the backrest: this allows the seat to be heated to overcome the discomfort of cold passenger compartments, e.g. when the car is left in the open for long periods in winter.The heating device, located in both front seats, consists of two resistors operated by a switch located on the outside of each seat.There are four positions for the control for switching the heating system on/off:- 0 = off;- 1 = minimum heating;- 2 = medium heating;- 3 = maximum heating.A special LED in the actual switches indicates that the resistances are switched on.The resistances can be switched on with the engine running.
The command for the electrical heating of the front seats is activated by switches I065 and I066 housed in the actual seats.The body computer node M001 supplies (pin 7 connector H) the switches I065 and I065 (pin 3) and the seat heating control units M110 and M170 (pin 3 connector A).The switches I065 and I066 (pin 1) provide the control units M170 and M110 (pin 2 connector A) with a voltage that varies according to the position of the selector. Once the signal is received, the control units activate:- from pins 1, 2, 3, 4 of connector B, the resistance for heating the cushion for the seat O046 and O047 (pins 1, 2, 3, 4 respectively);- from pins 1 and 2 of connector C, the resistance for heating the backrest O048 and O049 (pins 1, 2).
