DescriptionThe vehicle is equipped with two bright rear fog lamps located in the rear light clusters.The rear fog lamps are activated through the button in the control panel to the left of the steering wheel; when the lights are on the warning light in the instrument panel comes on.The switching on of the rear fog lamp is managed by the Body Computer: it is activated in the following conditions:go ahead signal with key in ON position (INT);signal coming from the switch;dipped headlamps or fog lights on signal.In addition, if the dipped headlamps or the fog lights are switched off, the rear fog lamps are also switched off if the button is pressed. When the lights are switched on again, the rear fog lamps do not come back on automatically, but only if the button is pressed.If the ignition key is switched OFF and then turned back to the ON position, the operating button must be pressed once again in order to turn the rear fog lamps back on.The correct operation of the lights is controlled by the rear fog lamp 'check' function: the following are checked:open circuit or bulb missingshort circuit to earth (bulb short circuit or wiring short circuit to earth)short circuit to Vbatt (wiring short circuit to Vbatt)If one of the situations described above is detected, the Body Computer notifies the CAN of the failure state: a special 'lights failure' warning light comes on in the instrument panel and, at the same time, the information is shown on the display.
Functional description The rear fog lamps activation (earth) signal reaches pin 35 of connector G of M1 from the control button in the panel to the left of the steering wheel H91. The side lights activated signal is sent to pin 28 of connector G of the Body Computer M1 from the steering column switch unit H52399168SeeE2010SIDE LIGHTS / NO. PLATE LIGHTS .; The dipped beam activation signal is sent to pin 2 of connector I of the Body Computer M1 from the stalk unit H5 SeeE2011 DIPPED HEADLAMPS , the fog lights activation signal reaches pin 20 of connector H of body computer M1 SeeE2030 FOG LIGHTS . The Body Computer M1 controls the supply for the rear fog lamp in the left rear light cluster F30 and right F31 from pin 31 of connector E and from pin 20 of connector D. The Body Computer M1 is connected, via the CAN line, to the instrument panel E50 to manage the fog lamps on warning light and the light failure warning light in case of a fault.
