Operational Description - TYRE INFLATION PRESSURE CONTROL SYSTEM - Fiat ULYSSE 2.0 16v fino a 04/03
The tyre monitoring system is managed by sensor K171 that communicates data to steering wheel node M093 via a radiofrequency signal.The tyre control information is sent by the steering wheel node control unit M093 to the body computer node M001. The signal travels via the CAN which connects the two control units.The steering wheel node control unit M093 receives a supply (pin 5 connector A) through the line protected by fuse F11, located in the body computer node M001; it receives a supply via the CAN (pin 6 connector A) from the line protected by fuse F16, located in the body computer node M001.The STOP warning light is switched on by the milometer warning lights node M140 which communicates with the instrument panel E050 and the body computer node M001 via the CAN.The instrument panel E050 and the milometer warning lights node M140 receive a supply via the CAN (pin 13 of E50 and pin 4 of M140) through the line protected by fuse F24 of the body computer M001.

The car is fitted with numerous electronic control units that perform a self-diagnostic function.When a diagnostic tester (Examiner or other device) is connected to these control units, self-diagnosis data can be read (parameters, errors) or the available active diagnostic tests can be carried out.All the diagnostic lines flow into the EOBD connector (European On Board Diagnosis) which conforms with Directive 98/69/CE (EURO 3) - ISO standard J1962 in the Body Computer connector G.Nodes connected to the network are diagnosed via the CAN network, while the dynamic car control network is diagnosed by a specific K lines.The following are monitored via individual diagnostic K lines:
