The vehicle climate is controlled via a duct/distributor unit with heater and controlled by means of four control knobs:the left-hand knob mechanically controls the hot and cold air mixing (22 positions);the middle left knob allows the adjustment, through an electric control, of the air ventilation at four different speeds (4 positions);the right middle knob makes it possible to select whether or not to set the "recirculation" function which prevents the intake of new air into the passenger compartment.the right knob mechanically controls the opening of the flaps that regulate the distribution of air flows (5 positions).The transmission of the air mixing, air distribution and recirculation commands from the knobs to the heater casing takes place by means of bowden cables.The heater unit fitted on the crossmember supporting the dashboard is identical to the (manual or automatic) climate control unit with the exception of the specific components for the air dehumidification and refrigeration circuit.Inside the heater, in addition to the flaps and the pollen filter, is the radiator-heater, in which the engine coolant circulates, plus the pipes.For further details,The fan is controlled by a dedicated relay and is protected by a dedicated fuse located in the engine compartment junction unit.

FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION - HEATER - Fiat 500 1.2 8v

The passenger compartment air fan N085 receives a power supply along the line operated by relay T08 and protected by fuse F08 both located in the engine compartment junction unit B001 (pin 63 of connector B).The coil for relay T08 of B001 (pin 45 of connector B) receives an ignition-controlled power supply (INT/A) along the line protected by fuse F31 of the Body Computer M001 (pin 21 of connector C). This line is excluded during engine starting.The speed of fan N085 is regulated through the H081 fan control which, via the O030 regulating resistance, allows the fan motor to be connected to earth through different resistance values, thereby regulating the speed.Switching the side lights on (pin 51 of connector D of M001) turns the two air conditioning/heater control lights on G045 A and B by means of a dedicated positive signal supplied by pin 12 of connector B of the Body Computer.
