The following diagram shows the various earths on the car. The associated circuits are shown for each earth.This makes it easy to identify the earthed circuits on an individual line: faults and failures are therefore easier to locate in the case of problems that affect more than one function: for example, oxidation of an earth may put several circuits and numerous functions out of service simultaneously.768some earths belonging to the same wiring are connected to one another via the various welding on the actual wiring. This allows all the electrical components on the same wiring to be earthed even if a particular earth point cannot allow effective contact with the vehicle body.

The earths present on the vehicle, categorised according to their relationship with the various wires, are as follows:C002 Battery earth on engine : wiring 40C003 Battery earth on bodyshell : wiring 40 C001Right front earth: wiring 12; the earth is positioned in the services compartment and is fastened to the bodyshell C012 ABS front earth: wiring 12C016 Air conditioning unit earth : wiring 12; the earth is fastened directly to the bulkhead separating the passenger/engine compartments, passenger sideC020 (connector A) Passenger side dashboard earth : wiring 25; the earth is secured to the passenger compartment floor and is positioned near the right front wheel arch (footwell area).C020 (connector B) Passenger side dashboard earth : wiring 20; the earth is secured to the passenger compartment floor and is positioned near the right front wheel arch (footwell area).C030 Left rear earth : wiring 25; the earth is positioned on the left rear wheel archC045 Fan earth : wiring 12C050 (connector A) Air Bag system earth : wiring 25C050 (connector B) Air Bag system earth : wiring 20C053 (connector A) Side Bag + Head Bag earth : wiring 25C053 (connector B) Side Bag + Head Bag earth : wiring 25C060 Injection control unit earth767Earths C050 are both located near the Air Bag control unit.
