DescriptionIn the case of poor visibility, it is possible to activate demisting of the rear window, door mirrors and windscreen washer nozzles. The heating resistances for these components absorb a considerable amount of energy and they are therefore checked and deactivated after a certain period: the defrosting is timed, according to the following logic, managed by the Body Computer:ignition ON (INT/A);activation signal from the relevant button, located on the climate control system control panel. In these circumstances the resistances remain supplied for a maximum of 20 minutes, then the power supply is cut off.The power supply is also cut off under the following conditions:ignition in OFF positiondeactivation signal from the relevant button;battery voltage below 8.5 Vafter the first 10 minutes operation, if the engine speed is below 1000 rpm. When the demister is on, a warning light on the climate control system control unit is activated.
Functional description The heated rear windscreen relay T11, located in the underdashboard control unit B2 , controls the simultaneous activation of the defrosting function for both the heated rear windscreen P55 - line protected by fuse F40 - and the defrosting coils for the rearscreen washer O50 and 051 - line protected by fuse F41. The supply for the coil for relay T11 is 'controlled by the ignition' (INT/A) and is energized by an earth signal coming from the Body Computer M1 - pin 6 of connector F; this signal is sent according to the complex control logic described previously and, in particular, when a signal arrives - at pin 32 of connector G of M11 - from the heated rear windscreen button pressed or MAX-DEF function on; This signal comes from climate control unit H80 , which receives the feedback signal for activation of the relevant led - from pin 21 of connector H of M1 -.

Cut a section of harmonic wire about 50 cm long then, using pliers, insert one end (1a) of the harmonic wire through the bead of sealant(1b) which secures the window (1c). 2. Secure one end of the wire to the special retaining tool (2a),inside the vehicle, and the other end to the traction handle (2b),outside the vehicle. 2027784
