DescriptionThe car is equipped with a radio system built into the Integrated Control System (ICS).In addition to the receiver, the system includes:medium-low tone speakers and tweeters at front and rear;leads connecting the radio to the speakers;aerial built into the back window by means of a special power source/amplifier device and connected to the radio set by a coaxial cable. The radio system is operated by pressing the AUDIO button. It includes the following functions:FM/AM radio with RDS/EON functions;audio cassette player with autoreverse;automatic CD loader (if fitted)The radio circuit receives a direct supply from the battery (which allows tuning settings to be stored). protected by a specific junction unit fuseFull radio specifications and operating instructions are given in the 'OWNER'S HANDBOOK'.
Functional description Conventional connections for radio P20 are connected to the back of the ICS unit: supply connector A and connector B for connection with the cases. The radio P20 is supplied directly by the battery at pin 4 of connector A by the line protected by fuse F4 of the junction unit B2. Pin 8 of connector A is earthed. Pin 1 of connector A receives the speedometer signal from the instrument E50 - pin 6 of connector B. Pin 5 of connector A is connected with the power source/amplifier aerial P25 , which controls the aerial built into the heated rear window. In addition, the radio P20 is connected to the aerial by means of the specific coaxial cable. The MUTE function, activated when connected to the radio phone, is connected to pin 3. 3309684SeeE3580PREPARATION FOR CELLULAR TELEPHONEConnector B of P20 sends out cables carrying signals to the speakers:pins 1 and 2 for the right rear door speakers P41 and P48 .pins 7 and 8 for the left rear door speakers P40 and P47 .pins 3 and 4 for the front speakers in the right door P36 and P46pins 5 and 6 for the front speakers in the left door P45 and P35
