DescriptionThe car is equipped with a radio system built into the Integrated Control System (ICS).In addition to the receiver, the system includes:medium-low tone speakers and tweeters at front and rear;leads connecting the radio to the speakers;aerial built into the back window by means of a special power source/amplifier device and connected to the radio set by a coaxial cable. As an option, the car may be fitted with a Hi-Fi kit that includes a CD changer and DSP amplifier located in the luggage compartment beside the battery, plus two speakers located on the rear parcel shelf. The radio system is operated by pressing the AUDIO button. It includes the following functions:FM/AM radio with RDS/EON functions;audio cassette player with autoreverse; An automatic CD loaderA DSP (Digital Sound Processing) amplifier. The radio circuit is supplied with the key turned to MAR, or directly from the battery (which allows tuning settings to be stored). Full radio specifications and operating instructions are given in the ' OWNER'S HANDBOOK'.
Functional description The ICS display E60 shows the radio and integrated cellular 'phone functions, and also the connection to the CD player/changer, if present. Conventional radio connections P20 are connected to the back of the ICS unit: connector A for the fuel spply; connector C for connection with the radio / CD amplifier P70 and CD player/loader P75, located in the luggage compartment. radio P20 is supplied directly from the battery (maxifuse CENTR of B5 ) - to pin 4 of connector A - through the fuse F4 of the junction unit B1 . Pin 8 of connector A is earthed. Pin 1 of connector A receives the speedometer signal coming from the instrument E50 - pin 8 of connector B; pin 5 of connector A is connected to power source/amplifier of aerial P25 , which controls with aerial built into the heated rear window. In addition, the radio P20 is connected to the aerial by means of the specific coaxial cable. The connector C of P20 is connected to the CD player/changer P75 by pins 7, 8 ,9, 10, 11, 12, 18, 19 and 20: these lines provide the supply, control and connection by bus to the CD changer. The connector C of P20 is also connected to the radio amplifier / CD P70 - connector B - by pins 3, 4, 5 and 6; these lines send the loudspeaker amplification signals. The amplifier P70 is supplied directly from the battery to pins 8 and 19 of connector A - through the specific fuse B90 ; the pins 9 and 20 of connector A are earthed. Connector A of P70 also sends out the cables carrying the signals to the car's ten loudspeakers:pins 1 and 10 to the left front door speakers P35 and P45pins 2 and 11 to the right front door speakers P36 and P46pins 5 and 14 to the left rear door speakers P40 and P47pins 5 and 16 to the right rear door speakers P41 and P48pins 4 and 14 to the left rear speaker on the parcel rack P30pins 9 and 12 to the left rear speaker on the parcel rack P31 ICS display E60 manages built-in cell phone functions and controls radio P20 when it receives control signals from device H16 (radio controls on steering wheel) via the clock spring. The signal for the audio connection to amplifier P70 departs from pin 14 - pin 17 of connector B. Pins 7 and 20 connect to the speaker phone microphone P26 , while pins 7, 8, 9, 10, and 22 connect to the external microtelephone P27 , if present. Pins 16 and 18 of are connected to the radio controls on the steering wheel H16 .
