DescriptionThe boot is opened by means of a button located in the glove compartment or by the key: the key is inserted into the boot lock and turned to operate an electric motor. The boot opening circuit is enabled for operation only when the car is at a standstill. It is protected by a fuse located in the luggage compartment.Fuel flap opening is controlled by a button on the tunnel near the gearlever. The fuel flap opening circuit is enabled for operation only when the car is at a standstill. It is protected by a fuse located in the luggage compartment.
Functional description Boot opening is controlled by the specific central boot opening switch H33 located in the glove compartment or by the key inserted in the rear lock (boot opening switch H71 ). When the car is stationary if the button H33 is pressed it energizes the boot opening relay J56 . The enablement signal comes from pin 9 of connector B of the instrument panel E50 , whose internal software enables this function when the speedometer signal - coming from the ABS control unit - is less than 2 km/h. The boot opening switch H71 energizes the relay J56 without any enablement. The relay J56 is supplied directly from the battery, through the fuse line B62 , and controls the boot lock motor N57 . Fuel flap opening is controlled by the specific switch located among the controls on the tunnel H36 . When the engine is not running, if the button H36 is pressed it energizes the fuel flap opening relay J57 ; the enablement signal arrives from terminal D+ of the alternator A10 : it is the same signal which lights up the recharging warning light in the instrument panel ( 3309762SeeE5010STARTING AND RECHARING ). The relay J57 is supplied directly from the battery, through the fuse line B61 , and it controls the fuel flap locking motor N58 .
